Magnetic North Art was formed by artist, Philip Milnes who has over 30 years experience as a brand designer and artist specialising in illustrating and painting beautiful local landscape locations.

I love creating artworks of our beautiful wee country! I love even more the connections my art has with people and the landscapes. Behind every location is an intriguing story marking an important event or conjuring up special childhood memories or time spent with loved ones.’ Below is one such story from a customer living in Bristol:

“Philip, I purchased your Slemish print as it marks the location from where my family originated. Sadly, my grandfather passed recently and my grandmother, father and I climbed Slemish to lay my grandfather’s ashes. I had your beautiful art print framed and we presented it to my grandmother. Her reaction was priceless and it has been such a comfort to her. It now hangs pride of place in her ‘sitting room’. Thank you, Philip”
